Your LT now tracks your fitness — plus a big batch of fixes
A batch of fixes and improvements went live over the last two days, nearly all of them straight from your feedback. Here's the short version.
The ±10% volume buttons behave now
If you ever tapped −10% and then +10% expecting to get back where you started — and instead got weird decimal kilometres that drifted further with every tap — that's fixed for good. The buttons now always work from your original plan, so −10% then +10% lands you exactly back on it. There's also a new Reset button that appears whenever a week is adjusted, restoring the original plan in one tap, and a badge showing where you stand ("−10% of plan"). "Make Recovery Week" is undoable the same way now. And if your plan's numbers were already scrambled from the old bug, they've been quietly restored to the originals.
The dashboard stops calling you lazy on Mondays
The Volume tile used to compare your week-so-far against the full week's target — so every Monday you were "87% down" while being exactly on plan. It now reads "WK 20 / 21K TO DATE," judging you only against what was prescribed through today. The little trend arrow next to it had a related bug (it compared your half-finished week against last week's full one) — also fixed. Both now tell the truth.
Yesterday · Today · Tomorrow, at the top
The most-requested feature: a three-cell strip right under the top gauges. Yesterday shows what you ran (tap it to open the run), Today stays brief, and Tomorrow shows what's on tap — tap it to expand the full workout: warm-up, main set, cool-down, paces. No more scrolling to the week table or digging through the Plan tab to find out what tomorrow holds.
Catching up on skipped check-ins
Life happens and the sleep/feel/notes boxes go empty for a few days. Now: past days in the week schedule show a small ○ when their check-in is incomplete — tap the day and fill it in, any day, any field. Days you did log now show a clean summary ("7.5h sleep · 82 score · 6/10 feel") with an Edit button, instead of a form that looked suspiciously blank. And to settle a common confusion: the box under Sleep is now called Day Notes — it's for your day (niggles, stress, energy). How the run went belongs on the run's page: the RPE buttons plus "How the run went — add a note."
Feedback letters for any week
Didn't think to generate last week's letter until Monday? There's now a week picker on the Feedback page — it even defaults to last week if its letter hasn't been written. You can also regenerate any week's letter after fixing up its data; every generation re-reads everything fresh.
Warm up properly before repeats
Repeat sessions (hills, track, intervals) now suggest a 5–6K easy warm-up instead of "15 min" — a suggestion, not a rule, but fifteen minutes of jogging isn't enough to do quality reps on. Your coach's letters know this too: extra warm-up kilometres on a workout day will never be read as going off-plan.
Hills are about effort, not pace
Hill sessions no longer carry a pace target — the hill decides the pace; your job is the effort. Related: you'll no longer see RPE 9s in your prescriptions. Aerobic work sits at 6–7, hard interval work at 7–8, and only race day earns a 9–10. Hill sprints just say what they are: maximal but relaxed, ten seconds, full recovery.
The big one: your LT now tracks your fitness
Until now, your LT — the anchor every pace in your plan hangs off — only moved when you raced or did specific threshold work. Weeks of solid aerobic running counted for nothing. Now the app reads two more signals: whether your easy pace is getting faster at the same heart rate, and whether you've absorbed a bigger training load without struggling (more volume, held for weeks, with no fatigue red flags). When those trends hold, your LT improves a small step each week — one or two seconds per kilometre, never a leap — and every derived pace follows. When you're struggling or the data is thin, it holds and says so. You may notice your paces have already shifted a little; that's the engine catching up with the fitness you've built. Check your Analytics LT graph — it now tells the story week by week.
That's it. As always — if a number looks wrong or a screen reads strangely, say so. Half of this update exists because you did.
